On monday, the 2nd of March ALFA, the association of literature and film friends in the Algarve held its 12th literary get-together.
The audience consisted of a devoted hard core quality instead of quantity group, who had made the effort to leave the TV-sofa for a bit of live entertainment. Inspite of the rain.

Colin Phillips and Pauline Thurman recommended and read from the books of their choice.
Clarissa Meca presented the great idea of crreating an international library. For more details please contact cmeca@hotmail.com

Liz Allen took care of the culinary side of the evening.
After the break yours truely jumped into the shark pool by giving a speach on cultural differences and national characteristics – hopefully not insulting any of the audience, just wanting to give food for thoughts.
Next literary salon takes place on Monday the 6th of April when Ulf Lidman will give a talk on “Life crisis – normal and necessary?” as always in the Convento S. Jose, Lagoa at 7.30 pm.
