Now get yourselves together and come to this year’s first ALFA literary salon on monday the 1st of February when Brian Wood will give a talk on his experience in the Antarctis. Maybe we’ll feel so much warmer here when we see the impressive shots he has taken.

We will start – like always at 7.30 pm sharp, the bar opens at 7.00 pm.
Where? In the Convento Sao José in Lagoa.

The film portrayes a nostalgic view of the GDR  in the 1970s. During
the communist period the street was intersected by the Berlin Wall
including a border crossing.

30. 10. 7.00 pm CSJ  inauguration of the highly acclaimed photo exhibition
ORTSZEIT – LOCAL TIME (open – 30th of november):
After the fall of the Berlin wall, Stefan Koppelkamm felt the urge to
capture in photographs a reality which he assumed would soon disappear
for ever.
Ten or twelve years later, the photographer sought out each location
again and took a second photograph from exactly the same standpoint.
The pairs of photographs which were created in this way document the
deep-seated changes which had occurred in many of these places over
the intervening years.

To be followed at 9.00 pm by the Witten Stroke Quartett with piano
